the University of British Columbia Library Staff.

Requests for Signs
Effective immediately requests for Mr. Williams to make
signs or to do other work should be given to Mr. Harris rather than
as previously to Mr.'Bell.
Library Hours for Easter Week-End
Because of final examinations, the Library will maintain the
following hours Easter Week-End*
Friday, April 12 Closed
Saturday, April 13 9 a»m» - 5 p.m.
Sunday, April 14 1*30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. (College
Library only)
Monday, April 15 9 a«m* ~ 5 p.m.
Tuesday, April 16 Resume regular schedule
Staff Travel Funds
A Committee consisting of Miss Dohbin, Mr. Bell, and Miss
'"%yer, Chairman, was appointed to consider bases for the allocation
oKtravel grants to members of the staff desiring to attend professional

i>\an David M. Myers, Faculty of Applied Sciences and a member
of the Sena\^ Library Committee, spoke to the Heads concerning departmental libraries, the proposed Engineering Library, and library problems
in general. HeVxpressed the view that students and professors in
Engineering would Vqje more use of library facilities if they were
located within the Fab-^y. He also described the building plans which
are under way for the Faculty of Applied Science.
Equipment and Supplies
Mr. Ranz announced that from this date forward Mr. Bell will
supervise expenditures for equipment and supplies.

Library Hours
Following is the schedule of Library hours until the end
of Augusts
May 6 - May 11 8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Mon.-Sat.
May 13 - June 29 8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Mon.-Fri.
July 2 - Aug. 16 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Mon.-Thurs.
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Fri.
Aug. 19- Aug. 31 8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Mon.-Fri.
Staff hours
Professional staff will work a minimum of 37^ hours per
week from Sept. 1 to May 31, and a minimum of 36^ hours
per week from June 1 to Aug. 31.
Clerical staff will continue to work 36-| hours per week,
all year round.
