This item consists of a digitized copy of a film assembled from a series of historical film clips that was presented to E.W. Hamber who served as UBC Chancellor 1944-1951. The film consists of: First graduation ceremony (1916) featuring President F.F. Wesbrook and Chancellor F.L. Carter-Cotton and congregation procession at Vancouver Courthouse [0:21-1:25]. UBC and World War I period – shows military training, ca. 1916 [1:26-2:33]. Campus following the war with overcrowding at Fairview and the Great Trek (1922) [2:34-5:02]. Views of the Science Building and Library and students arriving at the new Gymnasium on buses and in cars in the early 1930s [5:03-5:31]. English rugby game with kick off by President Leonard Klinck [5:32-5:46]. Premier T.D. Patullo receiving an honorary degree from Chancellor R.E.
