Description

Cover attached; cover title: 四ッ谷繪圖 Yotsuya ezu (Map of Yotsuya). Ditches (moats), river, mountains, woods, river banks, horse grounds, houses, bridges, shrines and temples indicated. Earlier edition of Beans 1869. Imprint says that there was an earlier edition in Kaei 3 (1850). Shows area of Sophia University at top; an imitation of Versailles is at right where the legend appears. Accompanying slip: "Sendagaya, Somegabashi Yotsuya no Ezu". Family crests indicated upper residence, squares indicate middle residence, and circle indicate lower residence of Daimyōs.
