Description

Added and revised edition. Covers attached; cover title: 永田町外櫻田繪圖 Sotosakurada Nagata-chō ezu (Map of Nagata-chō, Sotosakurada). Roads, bridges, towns, rivers, moats, mountains, horse grounds, and grass fields are indicated. Shows downtown area south of Edo palace, area of Diet, National police, government offices. Family crests indicated Daimyōs’ upper residence; squares indicate middle and circles indicate lower residences. Earlier edition of Beans 1869, with same artist, same engraver, but different dates. There is an earlier or original edition of this map published in 1850.
