Japanese Maps of the Tokugawa Era

Tōkaidō meisho ichiran Katsushika, Hokusai, 1760-1849

Cover attached; title from cover; date which should be on cover is missing. Shows roads, towns and castles. Kyoto is on the upper right and Edo is to the bottom right. This is not a true bird's eye view; it is highly distorted, for example, Nagoya is on the right instead of left of Fuji, and the Pacific ocean is in the middle; the whole upper right portion belongs in the upper left. Mandala style of map.
