Scale [ca. 1:120,000,000]. In original covers, which have the embossed Dutch title "Algemeene Waereld Kaart". References: Boxer, p. 22 (mentions editions of this same year without the embossed Dutch title). The eastern half of Australia is omitted in outline, whereas Kokan's map of 1792 includes it; also, California is drawn as an island, whereas in the 1792 map it is shown as a peninsula. Hand-colouring includes primary circles of latitude in gold.
