Description

Originating from Puzrish-Dagan, the tablet dates from the reign of Amar-Sin (also known as Bur-Sin), King of Ur, between 1981-1973 B.C.E. It records the receipt of rent paid in kind to the temple authorities. The inscription records the name of King Bur-Sin, the year "in which Huhnuri was destroyed" and the receipt by a temple official of "one sheep and one lamb on the thirteenth day of the month (undated).
