| Notes |
“To the Reader” leaf is supplied in facsimile.
This variant appears to be a late "variant 1b" in William B. Todd's "Issues and states of the Second Folio and Milton's epitaph on Shakespeare," Studies in bibliography, v. 5 (1952-53), pages 81-108. The letter f in "and are to be fold", usually found on the title page of this variant, appears to have been corrected in the pressroom to read as an s, thus "and are to be sold". Text on some of the pages is not fully displayed due to the limitations of the binding. Due to limitations of the OCR software the transcript generated is imperfect. |
