The PROmoting Early Childhood Outside study examined children's outdoor play behaviour at early learning and child care centres in the Greater Vancouver region. Data was collected using observational behaviour mapping and play behaviour was categorized with the Tool for Observing Play Outdoors. This dataset contains observational data on children's play behaviour, play characteristics and environmental characteristics that were captured for each observation.
