Meeting of the Trustees of the linfield & Okanagan Centre Irrigation
District held in the Rainbow Ranche office on Man* Nov* 5» 1947 at 8 pm*
PRESENT :- J* Seaton (chairman) Hiesra* Goldie & Williams*
This meeting was called at very short notice* Messrs* Chase & Edwards were
out of the district and were not able to be notified*
The Sec* read the minutes of the last meeting and it was
imZD by GOLDIE
SECCWDSP by WILLIAMS :- That the minutes of the meeting on Oct* 8th* 1947
be adopted* CARRIED
ARISING fROM THE M3NUTES Chairman reported that he hed seen Mr* *M. McCarthy
who had said that he would arrange a meeting between the Truetece and the
water users on the "Flat* to discuss the future of Duck Lake Flume*
The Chairman said that he had heard that Mr. Crown was thinking of
selling his orchard* This would mean that Ivfts Crown would than be living
on land outside the District and not owning land within It* This rather
complicates the domestic water problem*
Another case mentioned wee Lot 148, Map 521, now owned by the Free
Baptist Church of Canada* It was thought that a permanent residence was
now using water on this property* It was decided net to discuss this matter any further at this time but to wait to the next meeting when Mr. Paul
Chase would be present*
CORRESPONDENCB*
The Sec. read the minutes of two meetings held by the
Association of B. C. Irrigation Districts at ehich it had been decided to
send a delegation to Victoria to interview the Govt* re the implementation
of the Dean Clement report* The Assn. had decided to ask each District to
send one delegate whose expenses would be paid by the Association*
The Chairman said that it wee to discuss this matter that the
present- had been called*

MOVED by GOLDIE
SECONDED by WILLIAMS :- That hhe See*, S. 7* Land, join the delegation
of the Association of B. C. Irrigation Districts
to meet the Cabinet at 10 a.m. on Thurs. Nov* 6th*
1947.
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
