Meeting of the Trustees of the Winf ield & Okanagan Centre Irrigation
District held in the Winfield Hall on Wed* Nov* 26* 1947 at 10*35 a.m.
PRESENT :- J. E. Seaton (Chairman) Messrs* Chase, Edwards, Goldie, and
Williams.
The Trustees met a delegation of six (6) headed by L.J.David, requesting domestic water on Blk "E", Map 457*  (Sec minutes of Oct* 8/47)
After the delegation left this matter was thoroughly discussed* It
was agreed that if the District was extended to include this area other
lands outside the boundaries would immediately demand the cone privileges*
MOVED by EDWARDS
SECONDED by CHASE :- That Blk* WE", Map 457, being outside the Distriot
boundaries, the signers of the attached petition be
refused domestic water outlets*
CARRIED DNANIMOUSLY
Mr. Chase suggested that a public stand-pipe be erected at some place
adjacent to the irrigation system* similar to the one in Glenmore* This
would enable any resident in the district to have access to a supply of
water.
The Trustees thought this a good idea, and Mr* Chase and the Sec*
were asked to see Mr* Van Ackeren of the Irrigation Co. and find out if
the Co. would cooperate in this matter.
It was decided that the Irrigation District would pay the cost of
installation if necessary*
The See. then read the minutes of the last meeting and it was
MOVED by GOIfllE
SECONDED by EDWARDS:-. That the minutes of the meeting of Nov* 3/47 be adopted*
CARRIED
ARISING FROM THE MINUTES tto Chairman stated that he had again seen ftr* M
McCarthy who had said that it was still his intention to call a meeting
of the water users on the Flat*
Mr. Chase was asked if it was correct that domestic water was being
used for other than Church purposes on Lot 142, Map 521*       Mr. Chase said
that it was not correct*   Water was only being used to supply a building occupied by the Supt* of the 6. C. District of the Free Methodist Church*
In order to avoid any complication in this matter it was
MOVED by CHASE %$."
SECONDED by WIIXIAMB :- That only one  (1)domestic outlet be allowoft on
Lot 142* Map 521.

The Sec* gave a report on his recent trip to Victoria, which same is attached to these minutes*
The Chairman thanked the Sec. for the report  and the Rainbow Ranche for
the use of the See's time.
