Description

Despite the title "Petty Cash Book 1924 -1938", this is a ledger type book that appears to be a diary maintained by James Goldie from 1930 to 1938; it deals mainly with weather conditions and orchard business:  pruning, spraying, irrigating, blossom count, thinning, picking, packing, and production; One insert lists weather readings by Mr. Caesar for Feb. 1936.; A paper inserted inside the front cover lists men who helped to build an addition to a house for Sam Hikichi in about 1927 or 1928; Sam was the manager of the Jap gang at the Rainbow Ranche.
