Dear Sir: RE: IRRIGATING■ PIMP
120 ACRES - 280 FT. ELEVATION
OUR QUOTATION NO, 1415
Further to our conversation of June 19th at Vernon,
B.C., we are pleased to submit tentative proposals as
follows:
For irrigating 120 acres 3/4 mile from Woods Lake at
about 280 ft. elevation, with Z\ acre feet, we quote thus:
1 - acre, foot equals 326 000 U.S. Gallons x 120 acres
equals 39,120,000 gals, x jtt acre ft. equals 97,800,000
U.S. Gals, per season. 9ff800,000 divided by 120 days
equals 810,000 gals* per day divided ty 24 hours equals
34,000 gallons per hour divided by 60 equals 370 gals*
per minute* The pipe friction head using 10" pipe amounts
to 16 ft. plus 280 ft* elevation equals 300 ft* from all
causes* For this condition we quote:
1 - Allis-Chalmers Centrifugal pump - bronze fitted
Size 5M x 4n - Type MJ - High efficiency -
2 stage - Kingsbury Ifypfc thrust bearing -
Speed - 1750 RPM - Pump with cast iron base,
flexible coupling for mounting
1 - Canadian General Electric - 75 HP - 1800 RPM -
Type KT motor, 3 phase, 60 cycle, 2200 volt,
complete with hand starting compensator with
overload and undervoltage protection,
PRICE F.O.B. Your Station, complete unit |2780*00, CANADIAN ALLIS-CHALMERS, LIMITED
Mr* J* Goldie

The above pumping unit is high grade in all respects
and the wame type pump as used by the Consolidated Mining
and Smelting Co. of frail for pumping water out of mines
against high heads. The pump weight, without motor, is 3200 lbsj
We will b e pleased to go into the matter most carefully
if you decide to install a pump for this tract of land.
Yours very truly,
AFF:G
