 eO WALL STREET,
NEW YORK.

James Goldie, Esq,, ^ / [V
Okanagon Centre, B.C.
Dear Mr. Goldie:
In a letter just received from Mr. Dormer I quote as
follows —
*ff 1th regard to my sailing for Canada, I am
very uncertain if I shall be able to get out there
just yet, and do not know that I shall be able to
manage it this side of Christmas. If Goldie is
coming east at all this year we might arrange to
meet in Toronto later on. The city is so bad over
here that one cannot realize except by making a loss
and everyone is simply sitting tight waiting for
better days.
tfI received a long letter from Goldie with
figures for the last six months, and as far as I can
make out he might just be able to pull through this
year without calling on us.
"I will cable you when I leave England for
Canada, but do not see any chance of doing so this
month.ft
In view of the above, will you let me know what your plans
are and whether you expect to be east this winter, as if so, we could meet
as Dormer suggests; also please advise me whether he is right in his idea
that you will be able to pull through this year without calling on us.
What will the Bellevue cash requirements be between now and
March 1st, and when will the money be necessary?
With best wishes
Yoursz-Vipry truly,
