Rainbow Ranche. October IOth.1929.
Dear Sirs :-
Our last report was dated The 22nd. Sep.
On the 28th we finished packing the Molntosh.
the following is the pack.
Sxtra Fancy 298
Fancy 5091
Cee 3078
Household 1226
9693
Brown Gore (held) 175
9863
All but 644 House hold and the brown core have moved out. The Final
receipts are not all in and the above might change a few boxes.
Our June guess on Macs was II009* If expected this decrease on
account of the fruit not sizing. The grade however was better than last yc
year.
You will notice the Committee prices published in the Vernon
News. To get at our net price per packed box one has to deduct from
30 to 40 Gents and possibly more if there are many blow backs.
The market is still holding firm.
Tonight we finished picking Jonathan. to have packed
8800 boxes out of which we have shipped to date 5100.
The estimate is likely to be exceed a little.
By ^atumay we should about finish picking Spitzenberg
and Delicious. They are fairly well colored but the Romes and Wagner
are poor.
/ We expect to have the crop picked by the 24th.
There have been a few showers but the weatheS is fine for apple picking.
Yours truly.

Dear Sirs :•
Our last letter regarding the Crop was dated Oct IOth,
The last apple was picked yesterday morning about ten o^clock.
The weather has been ideal, Not more than a day and a half was lost
on account of rain*
fa have finished packing Jonathan, V/agnerf Spitz,Delicious,
Nonsuch and tomorrow will finish tho Rome Beauty. This week will
see the wind up of the packing,of Newtowns, The Salome will go to
Winfield for storage to be packed out later. fro are handing these over
to the Associated to store instead of earring them ourselves as in the
past. This we think is a gooft year not to take the chance. The Salome
are not as good quality and there are likely to be more apples stored
than usual.
The yield to date io about as followo.

Present estimate of Crop in boxes
51,220
This is two thousand lees than our June guess. The Newtown shows the
most di^erence. Our boss Jap- Sam guess was rery close to what is shown
above. They ar^ going to run to snail si*eo, The Delicious and Romes
were very tfkfc l&rge.
There has been no change in prices but the praries are holding backfand
it now looks as if we would not clean up as early as we at one time thou#
If you pot the OK bulletin you will see that the Mac, deal is goingt©
be fairly good. Up to date the Jonathan that have gone over seas
have been doing all right.
We still expect to make some money.
Yours truly,
