America Settentrionale Gallus, Antonius Donzel
Description
Engraved and hand-coloured print with many rarities and interesting geographical features. The Great Lakes are open to the Atlantic Ocean, and California is clearly depicted and labeled as an island while the northwest regions go completely unmapped. The title cartouche indicates that this is a correction and augmentation of the work done by N. Sanson d'Abbevile published in Paris in 1700.
