Notes |
Translation by Rufinus Tyrannius.
Two issues exist of this ed., the 1st with a dedication to Pope Sixtus IV, the 2nd with one to Cardinal D'Estouteville. This substitution necessitated a reprinting of the 1st signature which shows slight textual differences. The register corresponds to the 1st issue. Brit. Mus. Cat. (XV cent.) IV, p. 34 (IB.17419); Gesamtkat. d. Wiegendr., 9436 variant; Goff. Third census, E-126. Title and author statement from first 2 lines of text. First line of text begins: Incipit liber Historie ecclesiastice ... Publisher's statement from dedication. |
