Description

Elaborate hand coloured print illustration of two medieval scenes, town plans. Both illustrations feature settlements in the countryside. The first features a town settlement nestled in the green countryside, with two men at discussion in the foreground (17 x 48 cm). The second illustration (17 x 48 cm) features a fortress-like settlement, with a group of people walking in the foreground. The top view shows the town of Oxford from a nearby hill. The lower view is a ground-level image of Windsor Castle.
