Photographs formed part of an album entitled "MacMillan and Bloedel Limited Logging and Mill, 1940-1950's". Picture caption of second photo: Once tree has been lined up vertically and secured, job of raising and typing pulley blocks onto spar at various heights begins. Here Jim Hunter stands beside 1800-pd. bullblock which will be raised to about 120-foot level--10 stories high Mainline to yard logs runs through this block.
