Brooks of Brooks-Scanlon in Minneapolis purchased land and property rights held by the Canadian Industrial Company and later that year Powell River Paper was incorporated for the purpose of newsprint manufacture. Photographs come from a file relating to the Brooks-Scanlon Lumber Company operations in the United States.
