Description

The plaque reads: "This 1300 year old Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga taxifolia), started life as a seedling about 650 A.D., is believed to be the oldest living tree of its kind in Canada. This area is now set aside to remain in its natural state. Dated October 4, 1957. MacMillan and Bloedel Ltd. Shawnigan Division."
