Photographs formed part of an album entitled "MacMillan and Bloedel Limited Logging and Mill, 1940-1950's." Picture caption for fourth photograph: Operator Cecil Dixon shows that pulling 3 large logs at one time with the Co's powered pike-poles isn't a strain. Cecil moved these logs at approx. walking speed. The same logs would have involved a great deal of bullwork for boommen who handle conventional pike-poles. 1953 See also BC_1930_345_68 and BC_1930_345_69-71.
