Description

Image showing Vancouver's car-mounted float in the Bellingham Tulip Festival, with a replica of Captain Vancouver's "Discovery" flag ship and a man dressed up as Vancouver. Float is decorated with two-dimensional totem poles and British and US flags.
Texts on the float reads, "Greetings from Vancouver, B.C. The City of Vancouver was named after Capt. George Vancouver, explorer, and discoverer of Burrard Inlet. An exact replica of the "Discovery" Capt. Vancouver's flag-ship on which he sailed into Burrard Inlet June 1782.
