Discusses Johnson and Rowe on Shakespeare and mentions her own fondness for farce, particularly one called "The Dying Lovers". Further literary remarks. Bonars have endured a "horrid event". Other news of family and mutual friends. Her father is "rather better lately". Her own health is not robust.
