  LETTER FROM FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE TO ROSALIND NASH DATED August 22, 1899, DARK PENCIL with envelope, no stamp [1:551-52] with a grouse To enquire Mrs Nash Well Walk Hampstead Aug. 299 [in another hand] Aug 22/99 10, SOUTH STREET, PARK LANE. W. [printed address] Dearest I am sorry that Christopher has been "feverish". I hope he has not been exciting himself with the Dreyfus affair. [N.B. The French call us `islanders'. I should like to see any other nation which will put itself in a fever about foreign affairs] It is not a good plan. Please come at 5.30 to-morrow (Wednesday) if quite convenient to you ever yours Aunt Florence May I send you one grouse, just come from Scotland. Mr Christopher does not eat grouse I believe [end 1:552]
