UBC Institute of Fisheries Field Record B.C. 63-7a

Description

We couldn't find a suitably shallow and enclosed spot until we had come back fairly far into the harbor. The bottom consisted of large boulders at one side merging into sand at other. Depth of full[?] was down to about 20 feet. Rotenone was carried into nearby bay disturbing people there by presence of dead fish.; The fauna here was somewhat different than farther out. Fewer M. dorsalis and more M. bairdi. No Myripristis, no T. Lucasanum, relatively few colorful fishes. More [illegible entry], goatfish, scianids, etc.
