Description

Went to the public market at 7:30 am. Very few species there. Many were salted. Only fresh ones were corbina, snappers, coney, barracuda, sierra[?], etc.; Were told the fishermen came in at 11 am on outer beach. Bought a few haemulids. Most of their catch consisted of corbina, barracuda, sierra and haemulids. They also had triggerfish.; Later we visited a shrimp trawler as its fish catch was being sorted. Picked up a spotted moray, a worm eel, several small scorpaenids, a serranid, two rays, a lizard fish, etc. Boat came from La Paz.; One boat was unloading many rose coneys.
