C17 Esox lucius Linnaeus (1); C64 Cottus cognatus * Richardson [handwritten note] +eggs (6); *Sculpin egg masses found in large quantities, all at about same stage of development. On our stone, several masses, colours varying from orange-yellow to rose-red. [Male] guarding[?]. On underends[?] of flat stones. Dead [female] found split open, ripe eggs.
