+[see note below] C64 Cottus asper Richardson (15); C64 Cottus asper Richardson eggs (4); C14 Salmo gairdneri Richardson (4) [handwritten note] gairdneri 16/7/76 [illegible entry]; C22 Richardsonius balteatus (Richardson) (12) [handwritten note] discarded b/c damaged; *[see 2nd note below] C22 Rhinichthys cataractae; [strikethrough] Cuvier &; (Valenciennes) (3); [NOTE:] + Eggs of Cottus asper in eyed condition were collected on the underside of rocks. Small fry, still with yolk sac, and thought to also be C. asper were included with the eggs. [second NOTE] * Some small eggs were extruded from one Cottus. Both eggs and sperm were readily extruded from Rhinichthys cataractae and Richardsonius balteatus. [strikethrough] Eggs fertilized and brought down to Vancouver form [sic] the shiners failed to survive for long, probably because of poor carrying.
