Nepal's New Political Landscape International Crisis Group
Asia Report N°156.
Surveys the new political landscape following the April 2008 elections in Nepal and examines the situation of the parties: how they have reacted to the results, the state of internal debates and organizational pressures and the factors likely to shape their behavior in the short to medium term. Also examines the domestic and international reactions and the challenges of the transition to a new government, interim state structures and the start of the constitution-writing business.
