Description

Clarence and Ethel Berry, a married couple, were among the original claim stakers on Rabbit Creek (Bonanza) and Little Rabbit Creek (Eldorado). They were passengers on the SS Portland, the first ship to arrive in Seattle laden with gold. Their album features photographs by professional photographers who documented the Klondike Gold Rush, including the sublime landscapes and a wide range of mining activities.
