We've all heard about the likelihood of a major earthquake hitting the west coast. But what would the long term effects of such a disaster be?
Recently, UBC commerce professor Dr. Peter Nemetz was approached by an insurance company and asked to assist in a study of what the financial cost of a quake would be on the lower mainland.
CiTR's Ang Wilson got the chance to speak with Dr. Nemetz recently and began by asking just how one would begin to calculate the cost of something as drastic as an earthquake.
