Description

Consists of engineering notes of J. Adamson of the C.P. R.M.S. Empress of India, C.P. R.M.S. Empress of Russia, and C.P. R.M.S. Empress of Asia, and the engineering notes of Robert Shaw, chief engineer of the first C.P. R.M.S. Empress of Japan. Also enclosed are newspaper clippings regarding the appointment of Robert Shaw as chief engineer of the first C.P. R.M.S. Empress of Japan and his retirement on April 4, 1946. Inscribed to Dr. Wallace B. Chung from R. H. Shaw, April 4, 1963 on the seventy-first page.
