the misjudging of the distance off Point Sherman light
when seen through snow.    Another one might be the set
to the westward that the Teasel mig$it experience with
the wind blowing out of Berners Bay,
1% have some Officers in the
Oompasy who have had considerable experience on ih&
Alaska route,    WO-also have some who have had considerable service on that route in the "Princess Sophia*
with Captain Locke,    Mr, Harrison now on the ^Princess
ry*f on that route and Captain Cliffe of the Princess
Eha";    both of these men have served as 1st Officers
under Captain Locke and have also had considerable experience with one of our oldest and most experienced
sters, who is now retired,  Captain McLeod,
1 have made application to the
Light-house Board in Ketchikan for weather records e# in
the district of Sentinel Island in the month of October
for a few years past,    fhether I shall be able to get

them from there or no I am not able to say at present,
