TRAILER PRINCESS - 1975 ANNUAL SURVEY
(1) Under water surfaces to be sand-swept up to deep load line,
washed off with fresh water, bare spots touched up with
anti-corrosive paint, followed by one full coat of anti-
corrosive paint and one full coat of anti-fouling protection
paint.
(2) Plimsol marks, draft numbers, ship"s names and port of
registry to be repainted.
(3) Clearances to be taken on port and starboard propeller
shafts and respective rudders.
(4) Bow thruster tube to be sand-swept and washM out with
fresh water, bare spots to be touched up by anti-corrosive
paint and follox^ed up with one full coat of anti-fouling
paint.
(5) Hull from deep load line to top of bulwarks to be repainted
Island Green,   rust areas to be sand blasted and two coats
of primer applied, plus one base coat prior application of
final coat of green. Super-structure port and starboard
sides to be repainted white up to boat deck, also fore and
after end of super-structure and including wheel house.
Rusty areas sand blasted, two coats of primer applied, plus
base coat prior application of final coat of white paint.
(6) Renew sines around stern and also in bow propeller tube.
(7) Sea gratings to be removed, also screen grids on port and
starboard inner cooling and respective tanks flushed out.
Chemically treated water in said tanks to be salvaged for
further use on completion of tanks.
(8) Port and starboard propeller shaft stern glands to be repacked with teflon packing.
(9) starboard reduction gear cover to be removed for visual
inspection as to wear.
(10)\Sea valves to be opened up for inspection, chest cleaned out
knd painted with triple "A" paint, valves ground in and
rriachined as required; 5 in Main Engine Room, 3 in Generator
Room, 2 in Here Standby Fire Pump Room, 1 for Bow Thruster
Sea Suction, including overboard discharge valves and storm
valves.
 (2)
Additional work to be carried out.  Faulty sections of fire line
between decks to be repaired, also, sections in Engine Room.
(1) 4 Main Engine heat exchangers to be cleaned and tested, new
zincs to be fitted (supplied by ship).
(2) 2 Reduction gear heat exchanger coolers to be cleaned and
tested.  (New zincs fitted, supplied by ship.)
(3) Companionways, washrooms and laundry rooms to have deck heads
insulated to reduce excess sweating.
(4) Cathodic protection anodes to be checked out, replaced where
found faulty.
(5) Pneumatic controls on main engines and jdow thruster to have
seals and seats checked out.  (Work to be done by J. Kobelt.)
(6) Intermediate shaft on starboard tunnel to be removed, straightened and replaced.
(7) By-pass line to be tied into fire line in Here Room.
(8) Bow thruster exhaust line to £>e re-fabricated.
(9) 2 M/Engine exhaust manifolds to be put ashore for repair.

14) Install new gaskets on all main fuel oil flanges.

11) Install Keystone valves in general room - supplied by C.P.R,
12) Repack stern glands.
13) Renew zincs on hull.
14) Install new gaskets on all main fuel oil flanges.
