'"THE above photograph shows Miss Emma Dunn, famous character actress,
-1- having the beauties of Vancouver Harbor described to her by Capt.
R. A. Hunter from the bridge of the SS. Princess Marguerite. Miss Dunn
arrived In Vancouver yesterday to fill a four-weeks' engagement as guest
star with the Henry Duffy Players. An Englishwoman by birth, Miss Dunn
expressed her delight at the prospect of playing before a Canadian audience.
Opening at the Vancouver Theatre on Monday next with "Mother," the
play by Jules Eckert Goodman, In which she created the title role and
starred for two seasons, Miss Dunn will provide a real treat to theatregoers.

A number of telegrams reached /
Captain J. W. Troup, Manager of the
B.C. Coast Service, yesterday, congratulating him on completing a
quarter ol* a. century with that'service,
which he has completely reorganized.
In the twenty-five years since the
Canadian   Pacific   Railway  took   over
1 the Canadian 'Pacific Navigation
Company,  on Maijch 4,  1901, the fleet
I has grown rapid/y. At the time of
the transfer it consisted of the Charmer, the only vestpl now in the service, the Islander, [the Amur, Tees,
Danube, the earlie^- Princess Louiee,
Yosemite, Queen Cjty, Willapa, and
two river steamers \ on the Fraser
River,   the  Beaver  i'end   Transfer.
