THE EMPRESS OF BRITAIN
The Empress of Britain is the largest ship built in
Britain since the War, and the largest to ply
between any two ports of the British Empire.
Her keynote is the unusual amount of space which
characterizes all her rooms, as well as the beauty
of all her appointments. World-famous artists have
designed and decorated her vast public rooms.
She not only has the largest swimming pool afloat,
but also full-size tennis and squash racquets courts.
The Empress of Britain uses the St. Lawrence Short
Seaway—the shortest route to North America.
Quebec is 500 miles nearer than New York, and the
actual Atlantic crossing is reduced to 31 days,
because 1 \ days are spent in the sheltered waters
of. the St. Lawrence.
