AIRLINES Hw U lltake yettr (ZeMttiatfonA
It's easy to fly C P A L To ar-
range for a seat on any flight, simply
telephone or drop in to your nearest
Canadian Pacific Air Lines or Railway office, or see your favorite travel
agency. A courteous employee will
make your reservation at once.
JareA
While you're telephoning, you will
no doubt ask about fares. You'll be
amazed at how inexpensive air travel
can be, and at all the discounts. One
child under two may be carried free
for each adult ticket purchased, and
for two to twelve year olds we charge
only half fare. There's a 10% discount on return trips, so always buy
roundtrip and save!
Ticket*
While it is often possible to arrange for a reservation on the day
you wish to leave, it is better to do
so well ahead of time, and to pick
up your ticket at least 24 hours before departure. Canadian Pacific
ticketing is swift; your name? the
date and time of your reservation?
and your ticket is in your hand! No
line-ups, no waiting. JakiHf Off
While the aircraft taxies slowly to
the end of the runway, the air hostess
will adjust your seat belt to the proper
degree of tautness for comfort.
There, the pilots will check each
motor by racing them for a moment
or so, making quite sure that every
instrument and control is functioning
perfectly—then the swift take-off
begins.
Climbing into the air is done so
smoothly that you'll not be able to
tell when you leave the runway.
After a short, steady climb, the hum
of the motors decreases, and conversation in ordinary tones becomes
easy. Your stewardess will collect hats
and coats to hang up until the journey
is over, so they will be fresh and un-
creased for your arrival. You're
headed for your destination — the
direct, airborne way. Smekihy
Now's the time to light up a cigarette if you wish, and relax for a restful
journey. A second illuminated sign,
underneath that regarding the seat
belt, will remind you "No Smoking,
Please", during take-off and landing.
UHHa the Jliakt
Do make yourself at home! If you
wish to talk and visit with other
passengers, it's quite alright to do so.
Thermostatic controls maintain an
even cabin temperature, but if you
find it too warm, just turn the air
nozzle above your head and enjoy
the soft, cool breeze. Your private
reading light is there too, with a
handy switch. There is a completely
equipped washroom at the rear of the
cabin. If, sometimes, the airplane
nose dips or rises while in flight just
relax well in your seat and it will
scarcely be noticeable. This change
in the flying position is due to upward
and downward currents of air; the
aircraft rides smoothly through them. Your Air Hostess will be glad to supply you with reading material from her stock—newspapers, a magazine,
or information on your flight. The booklets in the seat pocket ahead of you are souvenirs, so won't you take
one? If you get drowsy, just call the Stewardess and she will bring you a pillow and light blanket should you
wish it. Coffee is always available without charge at any time. Please do not tip any Canadian Pacific Airlines
employee; our staff, both on the ground and in the air, are anxious to be of service at any time, without
gratuities.

Just before reaching your destination, the "Seat Belt" and "No
Smoking, Please" sign will flash on,
and you're coming in for a landing.
If you feel an increasing pressure on
your ears, just yawn, or chew some
gum which the Stewardess will supply.
Through the window you'll be able
to see the town spread beneath you
—tiny cars, houses, streets and parks
laid out like a map. The aircraft will
bank gently to turn, and before you
know it, you'll be drawing up to the
terminal.

Your Stewardess will hand you
your hat and coat after landing. Just
disengage your seat belt, and step
from the plane into the airport
terminal. There, your baggage is
exchanged for your checks. This is
an excellent time to step over to our
counter and confirm your return
reservation, thus saving time and
assuring your space for the trip back.
Outside, the limousine is standing
ready to take you into town, and you
arrive rested, refreshed, and relaxed. CANADA

Will You Help Us Lick the
"MO SHOW" PROBLEM?
Here are four easy-to-follow rules that will cure the "No Show" problem
once and for all . . . and will help assure you space when you want it.

"No Shows" are those who make reservations . . . then change their plans, fail to
show up at flight time, and don't bother to
cancel their reservations. Result: empty
seats . . . and other travelers, who wanted
the space, forced to change their plans.
Now that air travel is a habit with more
and more people for regular as well as
emergency trips, "No Shows'' have become
a real problem. They lack consideration
for their fellow air travelers — cause last-
minute congestion at departure time. Don't
be a "No Show". Please follow the
procedures shown on other side of card.
