Explore the Middle East
One morning, wake up in Rome. Already the sun's warm
fingers are exploring the corridors of history. Stirring the
pigeons in a thousand cobbled squares. Dream on. Tonight
you will be in Athens. Tomorrow in ancient Egypt. Look! The
inscrutable Sphinx. The magnificent Pyramids. More impressive than you ever imagined. Behold Beirut, set in the
legendary land of Lebanon, where mountain, stream and
flower conspire in beauty. A solemn moment on the Mount
of Olives the Holy City of Jerusalem is spread at your
feet. Follow the armies of Alexander the Great to the ruins
of Jerash and Jericho, to the Jordan River and the Dead Sea.
Enter Israel through the Mendelbaum Gate. Watch the world
go by from a sidewalk cafe in thriving Tel Aviv. Pause in the
Persian Gardens of Haifa. Away to exciting Istanbul, city of
harems, mosques, mosaics and Byzantine towers. See Aya
Sophia, centuries older than St. Peter's. Then cross the
Bosphorus and look back . . .
Adventure and romance will crowd each day. Sunshine and
starlight will illuminate the pages of history. Gay and sophisticated company will swirl around you every step of the way.
Make your dream come true. Consult your travel agent or
Canadian Pacific. A Canadian Pacific Super DC-8 Jet Empress
awaits your pleasure in Montreal, Toronto, Windsor/Detroit,
Winnipeg or Vancouver. Fly now -— pay later. Enjoy Empress
comfort, care and cuisine every smile of the way. HOLY LAND AND MIDDLE EAST TOUR
