A The Crystal Garden,
Victoria, British Columbia.
Victoria, the beautiful Evergreen City of the Pacific Coast,
so popular a resort in both summer and winter, has recently had added to
the attractions of its natural charm and equable climate this unique amusement centre.
Situated close to the famous Empress Hotel, the Crystal Garden is at
once an indoor bathing place, a promenade, a "peacock alley", a conservatory,
a dancing centre (with two floors), an art gallery, a banquet hall and a cafe.
The immense swimming pool, the heart of the building, is one of the largest
and most modernly equipped on the continent, 150 feet long by 40 feet wide,
and provides salt water bathing all the year round. The promenade, delightfully planted with flowers, extends all round the building.
