Dear Noreen:
As you know, more Canadians are vacationing in Canada; more of
them are consulting travel agents and more of them are taking package
vacations.
To give you an opportunity to present your upcoming 1980
Canadian tours and related tourism products to the retail travel agents
in Greater Vancouver and Victoria, the Canadian Government Office of
Tourism is organizing a Canada Marketplace in those cities.
The dates, locations, venues and estimated travel agents'
attendance at our Canada Marketplaces are:
(1) February 12, Vancouver, Hotel Vancouver, 400 travel agents
(2) February 13, Victoria, Empress Hotel, 100 travel agents
You may also be interested in participating in other Canada
Marketplaces being organized by our Canadian offices. You will find
attached a list of those dates and locations. For further information
on these Canada Marketplaces, please get in touch with the respective
C. G. 0. T. Manager. A list of the C. G. 0. T. Managers, office addresses,
and telephone numbers is attached.
The cost to you to participate in Canada Marketplaces in
Vancouver and/or Victoria is:
(1) Vancouver and Victoria - $250 per booth/table
(2) Vancouver only - 210 per booth/table
(3) Victoria only - 140 per booth/table
Canada
...12
J Due to limited space in the hotels, we will only be able to
accommodate 35 booths in Vancouver and 35 dressed tables in Victoria.
Confirmations for space will be on a first-come basis.
Our deadline for registration is January 31, 1980. To ensure your
space is confirmed, please send immediately to our office your cheque
payable to the "Receiver General of Canada". In case your accounting
policy requires an invoice before payment can be made, please find
your invoice attached.
For further information on our Canada Marketplace, please
refer to the attached copy of our "General Rules and Background
Information".
We certainly look forward to your early reply concerning
your participation in our Canada Marketplace in Vancouver and Victoria.

Dear Art:
Further to your letter of December 14, 1979, please find
attached a copy of the brochure we intend to display at the
C.G.O.T., Vancouver and Victoria, Canada Marketplace presentations February 12 and 13.
Although Alaska features prominently, we do carry the C.G.O.T.
logo as well, on the face of the brochure. If you have any objections to this piece, please contact this office at your
convenience.
Regards.
