Welcome to CP Rail's 100th anniversary of the Driving of
the Last Spike.
A program is attached for your Information.
Please ensure that the enclosed identification tags are on
your luggage when you leave it with us in the lobby of the
Palliser Hotel at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6. Your
luggage will be taken to our special train and kept in the
baggage car until we arrive in Revelstoke.
Please ensure you wear the enclosed name tag during the
next two days of events.
Lunch and dinner will be served aboard the train en route
to Revelstoke. There will be two seatings for each meal.
Enclosed are two hotel lists showing your accommodations
for Wednesday, Nov. 6, either at the Wayside Inn or the
Sandman Inn.
CP Rail will host a hospitality suite Wednesday night,
Nov. 6 at the Wayside Inn in the meeting room off the main
At 6:00 a.m., Thursday morning, Nov. 7, a buffet breakfast
will be available in your hotel restaurant prior to our
departure by bus at 6:40 a.m. for Revelstoke Station.
Guests returning to Calgary on Thursday aboard the CP Rail
special train should bring their luggage to the hotel lobby
Thursday morning at 6:30 a.m. Guests who are remaining in
Revelstoke after the Craigellachie ceremony should leave
their luggage in their rooms.
As a small memento of this occasion, we are pleased to
enclose a Last Spike centennial pin and certificate that
