Dear Mr. Posterj-
Mr. M. McD. Duff, assistant to the Chairman of the
Canadian Pacific Steamships Limited was in Vancouver in
April last in the matter of a contemplated change in the
position of Chinese Crew Agent in Hong Kong, China. My
brother Yip Kew Him presented an application for the above
position on April 19th and on the following day Mr. Duff
granted him an interview. It aopears that Mr, Duff knew
our father, the late Mr. Yip Sang quite well.
My brother at present thirty-eight years of age,
graduated from the Vancouver Public Schools in the Class
of 1911, later taking a course in a Business College.
Since the completion of his educational courses he has
for a long period of years been closely connected with
the duties of Chinese Ticket Agent for the Canadian
Pacific Steamships Limited in Vancouver and also has had
considerable contact with the Chinese crews.
Would you be kind enough to add your recommendation
to my brother's application. I beg to assure you that
your Hindly assistance in the matter will be greatly
appreciated by me.
Trusting that you are keepin^in the best of health.
Yours very sincerely, TELEPHONE SEYMOUR 313 BENTLEY'S CODE
