Plate Minton

Description

Porcelain plate decorated in the White Fish pattern of eight interlocking black boxes with a separate interlocking floral design in each box on the border, with a black circular garter emblem , labelled "Canadian Pacific Railway" in the centre on the white body, produced by Minton, England for use in the second class on the Canadian Pacific steamship Empress of Ireland. Plate salvaged from the wreckage of the Empress of Ireland.
