案清初飴山老人趙執信曾評點元遺山唐詩鼓吹，為時人所傳抄，卒後，其第四子趙念將其評點之語，及所評之詩、註，一併輯錄出來，抄錄成冊，然未刊行，此即趙念手錄稿本也。趙念云，飴山老人所據底本乃清初陸貽典等人參校本，而其所輯錄者，乃皆經評點，未評點者不錄。各卷均有趙念識語並鈐印，記錄抄錄日期及過程，起乾隆二十二年(1757)五月一日，月餘始畢。
趙念印：各卷端皆鈐有“趙”，“臣念之印”白文方印；“壽餘”，“手鈔”朱文方印。卷末等處鈐有雅號閒章多枚。
鈐印：“高唐郝氏藏本”朱文方印。
龐鏡塘印：“嬴縮硯齋藏書”，“嬴縮研齋”，“鏡塘審定”朱文方印；“鏡塘長物”白文方印。
