Photograph of two men sitting in chairs and a young boy standing between them, posing with a book in hand. The men in the photo are (L to R): Ngoon Lee (Chuck Lee's father), Chuck Lee, and Wye Ark Lee. This photograph was taken in a studio on Barrington Street in Halifax. Chuck Lee was nine years old when this photograph was taken. He arrived in Canada the same year. After he paid the head tax, he became the first Chinese child to arrive in town. His father returned to China in 1923, and Wye Ark Lee became his guardian. At that time, his father's hope was for Chuck Lee to complete his studies in Canada before returning to China.; 照片中有三位男性: 二人坐在椅子, 一位手上拿著一本書的男孩站在他們中間。從左至右: 李修策的父親 Ngoon Lee、李修策和監護人 Wye Ark Lee。這張照片在哈利法克斯市巴林頓街上的一家照相館拍攝。當時李修策只有九歲; 那年他第一次登陸加拿大。他交了人頭稅後, 成為當地第一位來自中國的孩子。他的父親在1923年返回中國, Wye Ark Lee 便成爲他的監護人。當時他父親的想法是等李修策在加拿大接受教育後再回到中國。
