Full many a dreary mile you've come,
To reach your long and favorite home;
Eejoice once more, your cot is near,
To rest your limbs and get some cheer..
 The Sailor's Return.
The Storm.
The wounded Tar now rests awhile,
Relates the stories of his toil;
He views the scenes of past delights,
And bids adieu to foreign sights.
Behold the faithful trusty Tray,
Leading his master on the way,
Over the stream 'midst rain and wind,
His hat's blown off and left behind.
 The Strayed Cow.
The Cow is plunging thro' the brook,
And the new meadows has forsook;
The herdsman pulls her by the tail,
To bring her back, but can't prevail.
Refreshment.
How savory doth the Beggar eat,
The gifts of broken bread and meat;
Whilst his poor dog sits patient by.
With hunger and a longing eye.
 The Tired Soldier.
A Soldier having gone astray,
,j Ask'd of a farmer his right way,
Who kindly bade the stranger come,
And made him welcome at his home.
Fighting Cocks.
Two rival Gocks a fighting see,
Their haughty spirits can't agree,
Till one has conquer'd his proud foe,
Then on the dunghill he will crow.
