This bookplate likely belonged to George T. Irving of Toronto, owner of the Irving Umbrella Co. He was a recognized member of society and included in the 1901 publication "Men of Canada: a portrait gallery of men whose energy, ability, enterprise and public spirit are responsible for the advancement of Canada, the premier colony of Great Britain."
