Phileas Vercheres de Boucherville, also known as Phileas Vercheres Boucher de Boucherville, was a doctor in Montreal in the 19th century. He was officially licensed on Feb 22, 1845. In 1850 he travelled to California with the gold rush, returning in 1852. In 1865 he published the story of his travels in the Soirees canadiennes, under the title 'Memories of a trip in California' [Souvenirs d'un voyage en Californie]. He died in 1890.
