Notes |
Francois X. A. Biron was born on June 29, 1829, in Lavaltrie, Québec. He attended the Collège de l'Assomption and was a diligent student. After graduating he had clerkships under two notaries, and became a notary on January 15, 1851. He then established a practice in St. Cuthbert, where he lived for the rest of his life. On June 29, 1853, he married Miss Marie-Louise-Noemie Fiset, with whom he had eight children. Professionally, Biron was known as an excellent notary, with good judgment and great legal knowledge, and was frequently consulted on difficult cases. Outside of work, he was considered polite, hospitable, and generous. He died suddenly on June 27, 1886, and was buried on July 1. A copy of this ex libris is also available in the Philippe Masson Ex Libris Collection at McGill University.
